About Mirth & Arrow's Founder

Lorenza's Story

Before founding Mirth & Arrow, Lorenza Muñoz was a senior executive at Amazon MGM Studios and EVP of Global Member Relations & Awards at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences — where she oversaw worldwide initiatives for 12,000+ filmmakers and artists, ran VIP relations for the Oscars and every global member event, brought the next generation of filmmakers into the Academy, and helped guide its Board of Governors through leadership renewal.

Before Hollywood, she spent more than a decade as a journalist at the Los Angeles Times, writing 3,000+ articles on entertainment, business, and government. She continues to write and is at work on a memoir about her life as an internationally ranked swimmer.

Lorenza is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and a founding member of AngelFamilia, the premier community for active Latine angel investors in the United States.
